Thursday 28th March sees the latest talk from the Hook History Society. The guest speaker is Hook’s own Dr Sam Blaxland who will be giving a talk titled Hook to Westminster. The evening will start at 7:30pm at Mount Zion Hall, Hook with an admission price of £2
The subject of allotments was brought up at last nights Community Council meeting. If there are enough people in the village who would be interested in having an allotment then the Community Council will make enquiries with PCC about the possibility of land being earmarked for allotments.

Last night (Wednesday) saw a very productive Community Council with a packed agenda.
Lucy Harold was co-opted onto the Community Council as our newest councillor and we are now back up to our full complement of 7 councillors. Welcome Lucy we look forward to working together in the coming months and years.
Dan Wynn from the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority came along to introduce himself having recently taken over as Warden covering our area. With public footpaths being one of the areas he covers, he invited the Community Council to contact him in the event of any problems with the footpaths in the village.
Mr & Mrs Wills from Hook Quay we’re also invited concerning joint access with the Community Council to land owned by Pembrokeshire County Council. It was the first time that the Community Council and the Wills’ have sat around the table over this matter and it seems both parties have been somewhat misled by PCC in the past.
We were happy to hear that Hook CP School has now received some new laptops for the use of the pupils and a date will be set for the official handover of a cheque from the Community Council towards the cost.
Hook Residents are reminded that all Community Council meetings are open for anybody to attend and any issues you may have within the village can be brought to the attention of any of the councillors at any time
There have been a couple of requests for our 2nd syndicate order. Anybody wanting an oil delivery in the next week or so please let me know as soon as possible so that we can get up to the minimum order required for the best price.

Reminder that the Forum AGM and meeting will be on WEDNESDAY 30th January….Please note the change in the date.
The AGM will be at 7.15pm followed by the ordinary meeting. If there is anything that you would like to put on the agenda please let Marilyn know before Monday 21st January as she will send the agenda out during that week.
At the moment we need to find a Vice Chair. The current Chair & Secretary are willing to continue but it is in our best interests to rotate these roles, so if anyone is willing to put themselves forward for either roles please let me know. Marianne Edwards has only recently taken over as treasurer from Ann Welham.
The meetings are open to any member of the community so please pass the word around, especially as we are looking for new ideas to replace Hookfest in its current format.
